Found this video of Bernard, one of the best ever. If you can look past the disco theme, you'll appreciate it. I'm not ashamed admitting my love for disco music since its given us some of the most beautiful and stellar forms of bass playing ever. Enjoy!
Lovin it.
Gots ta gets me one of those jump suits with the zippers on it!
This might be a really dumb comment but....Is that a mimed performance? It sounds tooooo slick and exactly like their studio stuff. Also sounds just like his Ray.

I'm not sure about that. At the very end he goes through a riff dead-on, but I could be wrong!
I copied this video with the firefox download helper since Warner Brothers Music has forced youtube to remove even these vintage videos. I'm thrilled that the WB is taking a beating after all they done to us in the past, plus nothing that's coming out these days is of any worth.
I hate to say any one bassist is my favorite, but Bernard Edwards is my favorite bassist of all time. I think that clip was a lip synch, but it was till cool.

Looks mimed to me also judging by the start of a fade out at the abrupt cut off ending.
Regardless, the bass playing is excellent. So nice to see something like this presented rather than Gene Simmons or Flea. I hated disco but this one I can actually listen to and enjoy.
I remember arguing with my childhood friend -or rather, lecturing at him- about how a guy like John Entwistle was far better than Edwards or Verdine White. I need to track him down and apologize.
