Yay!

So, question for the local folks. I'm getting a new bass, and thinking of taking it in to have it set up. Any shop recommendations, aside from Mike Lull who last I checked has a back log and charges half as much as the bass is worth? Alternatively, anyone who knows what they're doing on a setup want to teach me how to do it well?

@Balog: I take my bass to Mike and he does a great job for a much more reasonable price than you might think. Sure, $70/hr is a little more than other places, but he does excellent work and usually quite quickly - I brought my bass to him on Thursday for new pickups and I got it back on Monday, which seems quite reasonable.

Another option would be Shawn at Northwest Guitars (across the street from Mike), but I go to these guys from work in Redmond, so they're close to me. Haven't really looked into anyone on the north-end recently.

I really like Shawns work too. He to a defret job for me last year and it was perfection. Great guy too.

Thanks guys. Finances are tight with the new baby on the way, so I may end up just doing it myself.

Super-quick plug: I'm selling my Berg IP112, hoping for local sale. PM me if you're interested.

I split my time between Woodinville and Kirkland. And that makes me one of WA's finest!

I'll be putting another GTG in West Seattle sometime this late-spring. My buddy from The Shipwreck asked me yesterday if I planned one yet, but I hadn't. Yes it will be a Sunday and 21+over, I'll look at available dates probably in mid May. I'll make a separate tread in Events/GTG.
