I must be pretty slow off the mark these days but I just stumbled across Wayne Jones's new website and was pleased to see that he has a new CD out.

I had a quick listen on CD Baby and had to order a copy. I usually don't get into "bass player" CD's that much but this one has some superb groove playing and very tasteful soloing. Not over the top in a show-off kind of way but very in tune with the music.

very cool... he looks like Jerry Bergonzi on his album cover. Has he stopped making cabs and went back to playing more?

I'm pretty sure he's still making cabs as well. Looks like it on the web site anyway. I have two of them and they kick ass when powered by a good poweramp - I'm using a QSC2402 with a Demeter Preamp and two WJ cabs.
