I was sorely disappointed to find there's no "James Jamerson's" greatest hits CD out there. So help me put one together. What are your 3 favorites?
This should be fun. No bashing other people's opinions here. Just post your favs.
Thanks!

Seemed like he saved his best lines for these ladies.
Back in the day I liked The Supremes better than the Beatles, but don't tell anyone

"What's Happening Brother," which is track #2 on the What's Going On disc by Marvin Gaye, is probably my favorite. The changes are very complex, but Jamerson completely takes over the song. He does it by laying down a beautiful, melodic bass line that somehow both drives the rhythm and provides a wonderful counter-melody to the vocal line. If you haven't heard it, you should. It's a total showcase for Jamerson's artistry, and I think it should be on every bassist's "must hear" list.
