I don't know what this guy's credentials are, but watch some Bootsy Collins or Larry Graham next to that and the "Bass Genius" looks pretty foolish.

thats one of the first slap bass solos I've heard where the player doesn't play 200bpm--i actually hear more groove in what that guy was playing compared to the random guitar store bassist(/flea)
granted i still wouldn't consider that a genious show of ability. |
