Title says it all... what was Mr. Clayton playing in this very, very early video from U2's pre-stadium days? I don't know **** about non-fender or Musicman basses... looks kind of Alembic-y with the through-body neck, right? What is it? If it's the same bass he used to record this it certainly sounds nice...

But it sounds more like line signal overload to me than the actual amp farting. Might even be the video audio itself as it sounded like Bono's voice was a little distorted in places.
