What bass does Andy Metcalfe (The Egyptians) Play?

I've always been curious about what kind of fretless bass Andy Metcalfe from Robyn Hitchcock's Egyptians plays. Anyone out there have any idea?

When I saw the Soft Boys he had a Precision I think. I might have been a Jazz but I'm 90% sure it was a P-Bass. Definately Fender though. I seem to recall reading somewhere that it's the same one he bought way back when the Soft Boys had their first go around. Fantastic player BTW. I wonder how he is as a lawyer?
