What bass gear did David Gilmour use on Animals? I have seen no info on this anywhere on the net. Also as a bonus question, who recorded the bass part for Have a Cigar?

I'm no Floyd expert but didn't Roger Waters play bass on most songs on those 70's albums?
Waters certainly did live.
If Gilmore pplayed bass on some then maybe he used Roger's gear, which was a p-bass, 100W Hiwatt heads and Hiwatt 4x12 cabs.

In the thread entitled "Another 'Mud-bucker' thread", or something along those lines, a picture was posted of a precision with an added Gibson humbucker at the neck. Apparently that was David's bass when he played on, at least some, Floyd recordings.

Waters was the bassist, but it's pretty well-known that Gilmour recorded a lot of the bass parts.
