She told him I was the bass player and he said, "Oh really? Now, which one is the bass player again?" I'll bet I've heard that same question asked a dozen times at gigs. "Bass is different from guitar then?" That another one of my favorites. Yeah, investing in all that expensive gear and years worth of practice and lessons and most of the people you play for have no idea what you do. Kind of depressing actually. But it sure explains most of the crap that passes for music these days.

Looks like I am going as Sir Paul McCartney the British Invasion version. I already have the suit and tie all I need is the wig. Cheap\easy and some what comfortable. I sure hope most people will at least get it that I am a Beatle or some sort of British invasion guy.. Thanks for all the great ideas.. |
