What bass? Rocco Prestia

I looked through some of the archives to find out if the bass Rocco Prestia plays and I got lazy.

Does anyone know what bass Rocco used in the early days of Tower of Power? I know that he's using a Conklin that Bill made custom for him now. I've gotten to play the prototype for that bass.

That confirms it. I was just listening to the "Best of TOP" CD and I was pretty certain that's what he played.

Thanks so much, Jauqo III-X!

Anybody know what the story was with the signature P-bass (has the pickup bobbins reversed)? Seems like I barely heard about it after he quit using the Fernandes and then, all of a sudden, hes using the Conklin.

...maybe it's me-
Rocco just doesn't look right without a Fender in his hands.
(Some goes for Rainey & Jaco).

In the standing in the Shadows of Motown book about Jamersond, you see Roco with a G&L P-Copy?

Rocco is da man! yeah true I picture him playing a P-bass. I do like that Conklin tough really really pretty. I guess that P/J config helps get out some of those fat 16th notes.
