Flea with a great fusion drummer that can bring the funk - perhaps Billy Cobham, Alphonse Mouzon or Lenny White.
Along the same lines, I'd like to see Les Claypool with those same drummers.

Also, Mike Portnoy with Les Claypool would be interesting. Somehow the pairing of Claypool with Portnoy seems like it would work better than Flea with Portnoy.

You & I think alike!

...though, for the purposes of this fantasy thread, I'll also throw out these combos:

- Narada Michael Walden and Jeff Berlin
- Don Brewer and John Paul Jones
- Joey Baron and Jerome Harris
- Al Foster and Bill Laswell

Tito Jackson and Lars Ulrich. I think that would just be freaky enough to be cool (but I could be way off on this )

Tito Jackson from the Jackson 5? He played guitar; Jermaine was the bass player.

I feel your pain. Went to see a band that had an old drummer of mine in it the other day. I miss him

Flashback from the late 80's (?)...the Sales brothers from David Bowie's Tin Machine. Nothing extraordinary; they just complemented the project well. I believe Gabriel Reeves was handling guitar.
