I had just purchased Queen's A Day at the Races LP (dating myself). Opened it up and saw the picture - loved John's P Bass. Then after hearing Long Away (not Queens best song, but very big bass line) I was sold.

The list goes on and on. Somewhere not far into the Steve Harris Cliff Burton part of things, I had solidified my own style enough that I started spending my time on my own riffs and playing. Those guys Especially Geddy will always be a part of what ended up being my style.
