What do you know about Paul Ramsey?

I have Chico Hamilton's album It's About Time, and the bassist on it is Paul Ramsey. He is great and has great tone. Anyone know what equipment he's using, or anything about him. It sounds like your traditional Jazz tone, very nice indeed.
