I am left handed . And instead of the old school term southpaw , I figured I would put a more "aggressive" spin on it .

One kid called me "Tommy Gunn" in like 2nd grade as a joke cause I beat everybody in the mile run by like 5min. It stuck. I'm now entering into highschool and all my friends call me "Tommy" (used to go by "Thomas", boring I know) and jokin they call me "Mr. Gunn"

I have a feeling the kid who called me that had just seen Rocky the night before

Send a message via Skype™ to somegeezer
I thought up mine a long time ago when I was thinking of a name for my e-mail address. I turned to a friend and asked him... Being sarcastic he said "Oh, you know, some geezer at blah blah dot com". I thought "brilliant! Somegeezer!". I reckon a lot of the bassists on this site who've seen it think it's some kinda representation of Geezer Butler, but I honestly don't even like that guy. =P (don't hurt me!)... I think geezer is just an English thing. Especially down in London and it's surrounding areas.

Joe is my first name..EDO is a acronym for Evil Donny Osmond. Yeah, I've been told I look like Donny, but with an evil grin on my face all the time. Hence, a guitar play stuck the name to me Joe EDO.

Boam came from some dude in the bible named Jereboam, who my crazy mom told me a story about. my name being Jeremy, people started calling me Jereboam...then ultimately just boam. And the "edt" stands for "edition" because anything i have and customize becomes a "boam eddition" hence boamedt...yay

my last name is payne. it's etymological root is 'payan' meaning "peasant" in middle french. this is also the root for pagan. I am not a pagan by nature, I just though it was kind of a funny correlation. Jack is what I go by, although my legal name is John.

hence, paganjack.

Big Larry "The Mole" Taylor fan, the original bassist for Canned Heat. The were famous for playing Boogie Music. The 007 is self explanitory, I always wanted to be "Bond, James Bond."

GET BACK TO WORK, HIPPY!!

my name came from a girl i worked with. she thought it was funny to give me an ironic name (i'm not very doomy at all). when a very cute coworker suggested i adopt it in a more formal manner, who was i to say no?
now it's my working name. i get paid under this name and have to file taxes for it.

It's a misunderstood Pink Floyd lyric:

Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail

...and no one else had it...

I'm M0ses because someone already had Moses. And Moses is this really cool dude, and he has the sweetest name ever. It's always been my stage name and internet alias. Someday I might just change my name. Which happens to be Cameron. A name my sister INSISTS is actually a girl's name, but the only female Cameron I know of is the Diaz, but I've met plenty of male Cameron's, and never a girl. So she's just wrong.

I'm nominating you for best username ever.

Also, I always thought it was "cold steel rain" , is that wrong, what is the real lyrics, or is it right, so what do people misunderstand it as?

Well, That'll be the last time I walk in an alley or near a shed without some Irish whiskey to offer.

Found him at Christmas time in a Wal -Mart and he was the only one left, not su-prizingly. Now at the time I was most defiantly in the bag, because it's the only way I can deal with the 'Mart at that time of the year, having unfortunately managed one for a brief period over a Christmas season, and here's this stuffy toy looking all the world like he's totally hammered. Now the concept was to have a giveaway at a show, however as he just cracks me up every time I see him so he's kinda stuck around as some strange mascot.
And I officially put this out there as the strangest screen name method generated so far.
Cool Story!
I had a "one eyed" Cookie Monster (from the factory) when I was a kid.

Hah! Donny Osmond.

My screen name came about like this "Lil" referring to me being born a preemie (3lbs6oz) and Ray, my name (also my Pop's best friends name).

Simple and effective

God Bless, Ray

Mine is based on the Monster Magnet song Space Lord, from the lyric in the chorus "space lord mutha mutha".

Not as deep end profound as some of the others but here it goes ...

My first name is Gunner and when i was little my older sisters would call me gunnerhea to get a rise out of me (you know ... it sounds like gonorrhea). Anyways, i always thought it was clever, and 86 was the year i was born.

My name is Morris and people call me Morrie or Mo, and I play low, hence Low Mo shortened to Lomo. A Tber from Argentina told me this is the name of a prime cut of beef in Argentina and wondered how I ended up with it.
