What tuning does Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne use on LD 150?

I know he uses a 5 string on that album. How is his bass tuned?

he also never uses the F# in the album. It was just a thumb rest at the time (he still rarely uses his fifth string)

Bumping this old thread. Do you think a stiletto studio 5 can handle this tuning? Also what's the best way to tune it? I'm in ACGCF right now, just have the cheap korg tuner.

I'm sure it's capable. You'll have to have a set up and a widening of the nut for some thicker gauge strings.

Right now I'm using the same Dr hi beams that Ryan claims to use on the ld50 album.

I've seen pictures of him with super high action in this era. Maybe it was a way to combat the floppiness and potential fret buzz problems from the strings.

Just get lighter strings for your high ones and tuned BF#BEA. Problem solved.
