Hey,
Things started out thursday evening when just 10 seconds before the praise team was going to start I had a fall which bent my (free) elixir cable barrel and rendered it useless...more on that later. After getting to use the cord of the bassist who preceeded me and completing the engagement it was off to my bathtub and a date with some hot water and epsom salts. It gets better..Next day my brother calls and says he has tickets to Level 42 at the Keswick theatre for saturday. My lower back started feeling mighty fine immediately after hearing that and when saturday evening rolled around I was 3 rows from the stage. They went through all their hits and opened the show with Mark coming on stage spanking it hard over one of Wally Badarou's sequences. Mark is a friendly guy, eagerly shaking hands from the stage and when my brother asked "is that a Steinberger" (he's such a guitard) before I could tell him about the Status, Mark with a smile gave him a handshake and a real close look at it with the red & blue leds. Well after getting home it was back to the epsom salts and hot water but with much more elation. Played at church with a spare cord. Contacted elixir today and learned they do not have spare parts and was told to cut the end off and make a repair. I was way ahead of them having contacted a place named Markertek and ordered a Neutrik NP2RX-AU-SILENT Right Angle Gold Plated Silent Plug
thursday night before hitting the bath and it arrived today. Thirty minutes with my cable cutter and soldering iron and all is well. I hope wherever you're located in the states while Level 42 is touring you go out and see and hear one great show....now on with the motley
