What year is this Fender P-Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Cream body
Looks like original head w/ Fender sticker
No visible serial number, just patent numbers below sticker on head:
"PAT 2,946,960 2,972,925 2,245,078 2,700,300"
Two standard P-Bass pickups and one Jazz-Bass pickup back toward the bridge.
Two knobs and one pickup switch.
No "F" on plate at back, just a black plate behind where the knobs are.
See pics
Thanks!

I am guessing somewhere in between 1951 and 2011.
But I could be wrong...

I'm guessing Ibanez body (roadstar maybe?), aftermarket neck (which explains the awful fit). Just a guess though, I really have no idea.

You can see that the wood on the headstock is slightly lighter around the decal. This is an idication that it has been replaced. A serial number would help.

Really?
Am I the only one who noticed 21 frets?
Then there is the early 70's decal + 21 frets = fake

Ok thanks guys. So, how bout THIS ONE. I have been playing it with the understanding that it's a 75 P-Bass all original, except for a newer pickguard I had put on.

Um, why is this in "Bassists" instead of in "Basses"? Probably get more responses, with a better chance of getting accurate information in the right section.

Also, photos without serial numbers don't help a lot.
