Hm. This probably means we have to challenge each other on a duel?

I must warn You, sir. I´m from Sweden. We´re Vikings You know! We are used to burning and looting and pillaging and common brawling and such. We even use foul language! Our most treasured pastime is to invade countless countries and leave smoking ruins in our wake.

And as my nick name implies, I´m about fourteen feet tall, My bass are strung with old logging wires and when I make potatoe mash I just crush the spuds between my thumb and index finger. I live in a log cabin I´ve built by breaking trees with my bare hands and my hunting dogs are a pack of black wolves. Every other night we go hunting for moose, bear and, just for the fun of it, the occational wolverine. In the winter I follow the pack on skies but in the summer I usually run barefooted with them. Othervise I would be too fast for ´em.

I am sure Miss Spalding would rather be with me and my kinfolk.

She is an unbelievably beautiful woman. The second most beautiful I know of. First is my partner, obviously

Far and beyond that, however, she is amazingly talented as a composer and musician. Tasteful and hip.

Anyone else feel the same? Admit it.
Just had a conversation about her with a friend. The question was would people still dig her as much if she looked like Rosie O'Donnell? aka the Tal Wilkenfeld Conundrum.

My answer was yes. At least for people like me, absolutely.

So I suggested checking out this video...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvBUgJhaASA

I couldn't care less what the person who did this looked like. The ability is what initially and still floored me. So if someone who looked like Rosie did this, I'd still be cool with it. It's about the music... besides, I know she wouldn't be interested in me anyway.

And I dig the versions of this song with Marcus Miller and Alphonso Johnson in the bass chair... but neither of them sang it too.

She is very pretty, and while I'm not much of a jazz fan, she is a phenomenal musician.

I had the pleasure of working with her for 3 days a few years back when she did a residency at the performing arts center I worked for. She was truly a joy to work with. Many of the jazz artists that came through had some major attitudes, or were just difficult when it came time to sound check, but she was laid back and very cool about the whole thing. She knew what she wanted (sound wise) but wasn't demanding about it. The whole week was great, and I'd be honored to work with her again. Her band was also very down to earth, and easy going. I think I got to have dinner with the whole crew (Gretchen Parlato and Lionel Lueke were also in attendance that week), but I honestly can't say for sure.

So bottom line for those that are curious, she has an amazing personality on top of everything else.

I can say that, while I don't play jazz (and likely never will) she was a big influence in my buying an upright.

As an artist and musician I think she's amazing. Physically doesn't happen to be my type, but it's not like she'd give me the time of day anyway, hahaha.
