Who has the most unique tone? There's a cool idea for a thread. Who has the most unique tone you've heard? There aren't that many tones that haven't been done to death, but Tim Commorford's Evil Empire tone is pretty monstrous. Mostly because you cannot get it without lots of equipment and fiddling. |
Don't know if this makes it unique but John Wetton's tone live with King Crimson is the BIGGEST tone I've ever heard. |
Paul Barker on Ministry's "Filth Pig" and "Dark Side of the Spoon". |
I honestly feel that Chris Squire's tone from the legendary Yes album "Fragile" is pretty stand alone, tonewise. There's no mistaking Roundabout. It almost sounds like a clavinet, which freakin rules. And for those of whom that don't know what a clavinet sounds like, listen to Superstition by Stevie Wonder. |
