Who has your favorite bass sound ?

I've always been amazed at John Entwistle's sound and ability...He was my fave...McCartney right behind him in a very close second...

Justin Chancellor is definitely up there. I just love the fact that he's unique and that he has a really punchy and aggressive sound. I also love Flea's recorded tone, although his live sound is yuck!

I love Kai Eckhardt 's sound on his P-bass and his regular 5 strings both fretted & fretless.

Right now I really like Pino's tone with the John Mayer Trio and Carmine Rojas' tone on the Joe Bonnamassa at the Royal Albert Hall DVD.

Always liked Tim Commeford's tone. Along with many of the ones mentioned above -- he's the only new name I have to add

I always thought Chris Squire had the perfect bass tone.

dUg Pinnick's bass tone could give you internal injuries.
