I'm with ya Jim, I was going to mention Fima today. A great and diverse body of work and was a member of one of the best bands nobody knows about....Lost Tribe. Two of my favorite Guitarist were in that band too, Adam Rogers & David Gilmore.....talk about firepower.

Among non-bassists, Geezer Butler. Among bassists, dunno.

I love Lost Tribe!! Someone hipped me to them a while ago. Another NYC band that gets no love is Wax Poetic.

Lost Tribe's debut...probably OOP...was on Windham Hill Jazz!
Talk about being miscast!

Adam Rogers is killin' it with the Chris Potter Undergrouind (replaced Wayne Krantz, I guess).
Rogers also sounds great on Terri Lynn Carrington's Structure (w/ Jimmy Haslip & Greg Osby).

Gary is a genius. One of my favorites. He is far too little known, given his talents.
