Who played bass on James Brown's "Turn me loose, I'm Dr. Feelgood"?

Is a great line that takes alot of energy to keep it moving and in the pocket.

Who is the bassist on that song? The song came out on is "Gravity Album" I did some web searches but couldn't find the album credits.

How wonderful to see that SO MANY other ppl love this track as much as Stanknucle and I do...

Looks like it was ineed T.M.Stevens playing on Dr. Feelgood:

..the only other Bassist credit on the album belongs to Dan Hartman, who produced the album...

...So I think it's T.M. Stevens; the guy has phenomenal chops as well as feel; I have one of his solo albums, and although it's been a while since I gave it a listen, I remember he was playing his @$$ off

I didn't know Stevie Ray Vaughan played guitar on a James Brown album. It is the same SRV, right?

..Steve Winwood plays on it too....

...and Alison Moyet, from 80's pop sensastion "YAZOO"

I guess 2 outta 3 ain't bad...

j/k, I know Moyet was a very happening singer, and perhaps she still is, some 20 years later...

My 2 year old son Thomas does not dance to anything, but when I played this tune he got up of the floor and danced around like crazy! That tune still knocks me out everytime!
Yeah, I'll agree that it is T.M Stevens. After listening to some of his stuff, it's his tone and phenomenal chops.
