I heard this song on the radio and was really attracted to the motown-style kind of bass playing so I got home and looked the album up on Wikipedia to check the Personnel list.
I was scanning the list and I saw Pino Palladino, but I also saw a few other names who had also played bass on some tracks on the album.
Does anyone know if in fact it was Pino laying down the killer groove on this track? It certainly sounds like it could be him but I'm not 100% sure.

The bass part in the bridge of F--- You is just great. |

I usually hate hearing 'the F curse' is songs because it never sounds natural or believable, but here it's just plain hilarious. I have a lot of respect for Cee-Lo, he's the real thing.
Sounds like it could be Pino but I couldn't say for sure, either.
You might want to check out the Dap-Kings, great bass, less busy than old Motown but it always sounds great in the context of their recordings. Fat and sexy. |

| | | | He opened for Prince @ MSG on Monday. During this song the teleprompters read "NO F WORD"!
Cee-Lo's bp at the show was a tall gal playing an SG-style. |

There are some really hot tracks, like these 4 in a row: satisfied i want you cry baby fool for you
Not to mention this awesome cover of Band of Horses' " No One's Gonna Love You." Quote:

I realize that the magic of the studio can do a lot for a musician, but I would be really surprised if she's the one on the track. She just doesn't sound near as smooth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...IJM6hI0#t=163s, she does put on a helluva show though.
Having an all-female band is definitely in line with being a lady-killer. Quote:
