Feck, I think I was wrong. I could have sworn he had one. A picture of him with his eyes closed holding his bass or something.

You might be thinking of the cover of his instructional video, "Progressive Bass Concepts":

As for solo albums, Bryan Beller - "View". Three tracks ("Bear Divide", "No", and a cover of Patitucci's "Backwoods") are unaccompanied solo bass pieces.

John Myung hasn't made a solo album. He did play in two side projects thouhg (two albums with Platypus, one with Jelly jam, and he played bass on some other albums like Raising the mammoth which wasn't really HIS project), but no real solo stuff yet....

Those are not unaccompanied solo albums, of course. Not even those you mentioned ever did a whole album that way.

And it's a spectacular album too! I think I've listened to it about 20 times since I got it a month ago.

Oh yeah, thinking of you, Brian Bromberg, an upright player, has an album called 'wood' it's mostly unaccompanied upright bass, and it's really good.

Ray Riendeau has one out, and I'm pretty sure it's all unaccompanied solo bass sty-lee.
