There comes a time when you should just hang it up. That time has come for the Who. I love their music when they were in their prime and I would prefer to remember it as it was. This just takes a lot of my enjoyment out of the music. Sorry guys but who ever booked you should be fired. Peter principle should not apply here.

That's a bit strong for me. The show is still entertaining...albeit with only two real members of The Who.
Roger Daltrey doesn't have he chops to sing Baba O'Riley any longer. Most everyone's voice loses its range at the top end with age. Daltrey is a fine example.

rock on!

Considering these guys are in their mid sixties at this point, I'd say they're putting on a good show......I hope I can still bring it when I'm that age.

Funny thing I am sure that on the talkdrums.com (or whatever it's called) they're already raving about the drummer, who they know by name, and wonder who was on bass

Poor Pino... relegated to the shadows for most of the show. Entwisle wouldn't have put up with that.

The Who - Keith and John = Half A Who (by Dr. Seuss)

The drummer annoyed me, probably cause i was expecting Moon type fills every other measure and was only getting them every 8th maybe?

the bass was non existant, which was better cause then i'd have something else to bitch about.

I'm not saying that they don't rock considering their age. I am almost there with them. I'm am saying that for the Superbowl with a super sized audience that I expect more. Their vocals were not up to the rest of the performance and as you age the voice goes. There are many examples in the entertainment world of singers that have lost their range and tonal qualities. For most vocalist, mid-20's to early 30's is prime. I hope that they had fun because at that age, fun is what it is all about.
