Geddy seems like one of the few Rockstars worth having a conversation with.

Yeah, that can be found on youtube, too. It was a great gig, huh? I particularly enjoyed MF DOOM's 2 songs. Looking forward to a collaboration between those cats!

LEMMY and GEDDY simultaneously, in my living room, each with a bass and each through an 810, Geddy with a bottle of wine and Lemmy with a bottle of whisky, and me with a defibrulator for the sensory overload heart attacks which would occur several times during the session.

I'm kinda surprised that James Jamerson hasn't been mentioned more in this thread. It'd be fun to get his insights on writing bass lines.

I've always wanted to meet JPJ...his bass parts are what made me want to play bass.

Dave Grohl always looks like he's having so much fun making music, so I'd like to play a show with him behind the drums.

I'd like to hang out with Chris Wolstenhome from muse. It was his playing and tone that really kicked me into high gear to learn/want to play bass plus he just seems like a really cool guy to talk to about music and influences.

Just to hang with probably be Mark King 1.cause aside from other 80's influences he's made the biggest influence on my slap playing (of the little i do). 2.hes a funky motherfu*ker

+1. He seems like a nice guy.
I'll also say Steve Harris and Bruce Dickinson. Just for a nice conversation. The seem like good people. Also John Paul Jones, for his insight writing basslines, and getting good at the piano (just because I'm grade 7 doesn't mean I can play it well :S )

I'd have to say Chris Squire as he's been the biggest influence on my own bass playing and is definitely my favourite bassist of all time. I'd love to just probe his mind a bit and I'm sure The Fish has got some wild stories to tell. But then I also hear he's somewhat egotistical, which would be fair, given his status as a bass legend, I guess.

It may actually be more fun to just chill with Geddy. He seems like a real down-to-Earth guy.
