Sign in to disble this ad
just a quick one i'm sat here browsing my fave bass forum looking up gems of info and watching people being flamed for both good and bad reasons
and as i read i have my bass across my knee's and i'm noodling round trying to find out what sort of backwards key our guitarist has put our new song in

i'm just wondering how many of you on here are actually playing there bass right at this second and how many are not

It's not really on my knee but it's on the bed here and the amp is on. I'm getting ready to thump it here. I've been playing pretty much all day, off and on. I've got to play as much today as I can since I'm getting wrist surgery tomorrow and I don't know if I'll be able to play for a while.

The "I might pick it up in a half hour or so" usually sums it up for me. I'll end up lurking the forums, then explore some youtube vids, by then I'm hungry for dinner. Then more lurking, then bed. Meh, I'll play tomorrow. Sound familiar anyone?

Yes.

Our school had a 2 hour delay and I played from 6:30 to 9:30. I was almost late to school. Then I got home at 3, and I've been playing since then. Gotta break in those new strings, you know?

I have a couple of basses sitting right here beside me.
If something comes up I want to check out, they're right here.
But no, they are not in my hand at this moment.

I only put her down when I got to shower up, eat, or go to work. I even play on the shitter. But you gotta play to get better, so might as well play all the time you know?

Played for about three hours today. Learned Southbound by the Allman Brothers and Eyes of the World by the Grateful Dead (well the chords, made up my own lines) and then jammed on a bunch of other songs. Very fun day
