Whom do you like the best and why.
No real reason for this, just curious.
There's no way I'm getting all the bassists up there, so just pick one.

Steve Harris. Becauce off all the "Iron Maiden" thing. The band, the concepts, its importance in the NWBHM; and his style, a school in modern rock bass playing.

I think in the ending credits of the movie airheads they refer to him as Lemmy von Motorhead.

I picked Cliff. Why? I don't know why I like him so much. I know he's not the best... Maybe it has to do with his amazing solo's... or his ability to headbang like crazy and not miss a note. Or the fact that he just looks so damn cool.. Many reasons, but Cliff Burton is my all time favorite bassist.

Where's Geezer? Geddy? DeMaio? JPJ? That list is far too small to pick from, except for me... My favorite was actually on the list.

Steve's #2 on my list, right behind John Entwistle, and just ahead of Geddy Lee. There may be better players out there, but these three guys are the best at playing music that I like to listen to.

Don't listen to the people that wonder why their favourite isn't on the list, but the godfather of classic rock bass (Jack) is pretty much needed for that list to be taken seriously.

I will not vote in the poll because neither Derek Smalls nor Jack Lemmon in "Some Like It Hot" are available choices.

out of this list i would have to say Woot, but really my fav at the moment would be between Brian Bromberg and the bassist from the Jazz Pistols (german instrumental trio)

Oh.. hard one..

I Voted Entwistle cause my style is closer to his, but realy, both Geddy and John are equal for me.

The list looks a lot better now. I voted Jack, of course.
