Sign in to disble this ad
Hey! I'm new to the forum and it's good to see that there's a lot of other fellow bass guitarists out there. I've been a bass player for awhile now it's been on and off honestly, but at the age of 24 I kept at it and never stopped at all. I'm now a bassist for 4 different projects. Playing bass has become my p primary source of writing music and etc after playing keyboards. I love the simplicity of bashing one note at a time and then getting creative by using chords on the 20 something frets in the bottom and stuff like that.
Other than that I also run a blog http://bass-guitar-center-blog.blogspot.com/ (if you want to see it). I started very recently because it's always good to write about something you love. So feel free to go by and comment on any of the articles I have posted up there. I'm thinking about posting stuff from free tips to etc.
Anyways, I want to post about your favorite bassist! I'm going to say my favorite are:
1) Les Claypool
2) Victor Wooten
3) Christopher Wolstenholme
4) Larry Graham
5) Justin Chancellor (I just like his style)
Whats yours!? (I'm sorry I know this was probably done a few times, but I figured it would be a fun thread!)

You may find some who might send you a private message(pm) and ask you about subjects you're known to be an expert on.
and to answer your question...Fran Sheehan was probably one of my 1st influences. |
