When Jaco did not get a job with Mahavishnu Orchestra, because Jaco played regular bass, Ralphe played fretless, Jaco went home and pulled all of the frets from his bass with the knife! | | | DavidSinRocks. His playing is very sophisticated and clean, and he's got machine timing. Plus he's the real deal and not a basement shredder. Unfortunately, he's an *******. He blocked me for knocking sense into people saying he's better than professionals, and his band steals vocal melodies and riffs from RATM and RHCP. Credit were it's due though. |

It seems like every video he makes is on a new single-humbucker bass with loads of compression. But he's still pretty incredible.
