Agreed.

Back on topic, I love Scott devine's lessons- he always breaks down concepts I'm having trouble with so that I can really understand then. Marlowe DK is great as well, I've learned a lot from watching both of them.
If anyone is in to avant-garde metal, CHaoth (not sure how he stylizes it) has a video up of him playing 'Words' off his band's (Unexpect) newest album. Excellent playing and musicianship.

Oh, and can I nominate myself? (shameless plug ahead)

arcellus - This guy has the greatest feel on this tune, especially for a young guy. Such a classic line, and he NAILS it.

I also like CocosBassment. Here he kills a Sekou Bunch tune that I've always loved.

Maybe the family of Jaco can better answer that? I am not saying you are not correct but Jaco played the fretless like no other at the time. Yes I know he did audition for John McLaughlin but it was never mentioned he played fretless because of it. The writer was also a very good friend of Jaco. Ralph is a very good bassist. And at a very young age, but Jaco was innovative. Some say Jaco never came in with his own bass but with a P bass. So what I am saying I would like the family to comfirm or those who hung out with Jaco. But it does make a good story.
Also I would like to ad that it wouldn't surprise me if true but Jaco must had known it would be his voice as he played it like no other.

Has anyone mentioned tony Dickinson? That dude has done some amazing covers, and he usually posts transcriptions of the more difficult ones which is pretty cool.

Yeah David's band is a rip-off band for sure... no creativity there... just robot-like talent.

I've recently been digging Nathan Navarro - first saw his dubstep stuff (pretty cool if you are into it)

He can play other styles too!

That small audition might be tipping point, when he decided, enough is enough, I am going to smash you. I would not be surprised. He was such character.... Some people say that's the bogus story. But, Ralphe is really nice guy. I don't think he would lie something just to make himself important, when the whole story can be checked from multiple sources.

We all need kick in the guts to move on in life....

I forgot about him, he's one of my favorites. He's the only person on Youtube who can play some Symphony X songs.

Also, anyone check out Andy Irvine?
