In my experience even in the early days of DT Myung simply didn't seem to have the desire to interact with people compared to Portnoy, for example (who's the polar opposite and seems to crave attention) and has seemed to become even moreso since the birth of his children. I think he simply has little interest, which seems odd in these days of "Everyone and Their Mother Must Have An Internet Site Or MySpace Page". Even when his site was up, it was pretty dead in terms of forum traffic, and had no info on his equipment, news, and things you expect from a site.

For John Myung that actually makes sense. He was too busy running scales at warp speed.

Sorry.. I never did understand this 'hero worship' obsessing at all. So a performer has or has had a website that changes little from day to day. The guy does not even know the people that visit his site, and probably does not want to either.

Like you said.. the guy is busy warping around his neck doing all kinds of self-improvement stuff, and not worrying about his site at all since he actually has a life to live.

This is most likely true. I've heard the man practices almost nonstop.

I'm excited for the new DT album out tomorrow!!

Probably, and this of course, will have no bearing on his lacklustre album performances...

Actually, his forum, which was basically the only thing worth keeping JM's site alive for, was poorly managed and all people did was bash him, Dream Theater and other bass players, I used to browse it occasionally.

JM got sick of all the bashing and indiscipline, so he ordered the webmaster to shut it down.

It's a long story leading up to the closing of the site, and I'm not sure of the details.

Actually,Myungs site had a lot of traffic on it. 99.999% of them were between 10 and 15 years old judging by the threads. Pretty pathetic.
