I went to see this great line up last night at Madison Square Garden NYC

Eric Clapton Gtr Vcls
Stevie Windwood Vcls Gtr B-3 Keys
Willie Weeks Bass
Ian Thomas Drums
Chris Stanton - Keyboards

What a great performance by this great band..

Willie Weeks was just laying it down... he did not pop or slap a single string note..

He used an Aguilar DB 750 and an Aguilar 4 x 12 cab.
Basses -His old Fener maple neck P bass and a Olympic White Jazz. Both passive..4 string.. he is so great...

I dont know if they are touring with this line up but if they come your way its worth seeing.. Stevie Windwood sounds great too....

I saw Winwood on TV a couple weeks playing some very respectable guitar - I didn't realize he was that strong on it.

Willie Weeks is a total class act. Sounds like a cool show.

I was at the first show earlier this week. It was a great show. Willie just stayed in the pocket and did his thing. Winwoods' voice was magnificent, and Clapton was, well, Clapton!

It's my understanding that this was a three show "one off" performance, and will not become a tour. That's too bad, because they would make a ton of money (and tons of fans very happy) if they took this on the road.

I've been fortunate enough to see Clapton with Nathan East, and also with Duck Dunn. He gets monster players in his bands!

Who on earth would turn it down? "Sorry Eric, I can't work you in... "

One of the times I saw Traffic in the early 70', they had David Hood and Roger Hawkins, on that tour Winwood played a lot of guitar......he was great!

Actually, Steve Gadd turned this down. He's in the studio and getting ready to tour with James Taylor.

Willie Weeks

It would have been great to see Steve Gadd - but Ian Thomas did a great job.. I read that he has performed with Ingognito in the past...
