As far as the motorized knobs - I could probably do with out them because I very rarely change my sound during a gig. I just set it and go. Just seems one more thing that could go wrong , but who's to say - they might just be ultra reliable and could prove useful.

Thanks for the offer man. Wish I was heading down to Green Bay soon...

Vic gave a pretty decent answer on why it may be a useful feature.

I ask this because someone will post "I've got this or that and in a short time it's for sale or trade cause they just have to have the next thing.
Do you find yourselves tiring of your sound?
I'm not trying to say its wrong, just don't understand it. I've played other gear, but as soon as I pick up a bass at a store ,its not my G&L.
Maybe this is to deep of a thought process this early LOL
What say you?
Love & Peace | I just asked myself the same question I just bought a 3leaf Audio Enabler and another B3K because I really missed that sound. I'm finally to a point where my board is complete it's hard to judge pedals based off of videos or reviews and you think a certain pedal will be a good fit but it's not and you have to flip it to continue the search. I have been thru at least sixty pedals this year trying to finish my board and I'm finally done I hope

I have a hard time selling a guitar after I bonded with it. Don't want to sound weird or anything, haha. There have been guitars that I have sold but I really didn't like them at all. I have at least 4 guitars that I really don't need but they bring back cool memories. Of course I wasn't searching for the holy grail of tone when I bought most of them either.

More of a novelty keepsake.

That was a fun discussion. For those who aren't quite as much of a 'tech fanatic' as some of us, these rather complex designs and features of some of these heads can be a bit confusing. That 'tweeter biamp' option is pretty cool on the larger GK heads, although would onl benefit a certain 'type' of player looking for a certain type of tone.
Hopefully, the explanation was helpful over there |

Rob from Slinger here. Been playing for about 2 years now. Played Trombone all the way through Sophmore year of college, so I'm familiar with music.
Now I'm middle aged and kind of on a lark a few of us decided to start writing and playing music. Our lead guitarist has been playing for a whole but the rest of us started more or less from scratch.
We've got a ways to go, real life gets in the way for us to make huge leaps and bounds. We do get together every week, and twice a year we take basically a week and go up north and dedicate time. Pretty fun/cool all around.
All this for introductory purposes, basically. I do however have a pretty standard noob question of where to start with a first experience for us to play out... Maybe just a couple of songs... We are much more interested in the process of learning, writing, and doing things for our own gratification essentially than "getting our name out there", but we think it would be fun, and part of the process to play out at some point.
Any suggestions local-ish?
So hi, nice to meet you all, and I'll take a number |

So hi, nice to meet you all, and I'll take a number | Nice to meet you and welcome to the club. You are #125.
I can't help with your question about where to play out since I haven't lived in your neck of the woods for years. The only problem that I see with your bands situation on wanting to play out at some point is that you'll need to learn 3 sets worth of cover tunes which will in turn take away from writing songs.
I'd just learn a bunch of easy popular crowd pleasing fun songs (there's a ton to choose from) and then gradually sneak in a few challenging cover tunes and maybe an original or two.
Good luck and have fun!!
