They contacted our singer but we've turned over talks to one of the agents we book with as they were getting together to discuss bookings anyway. It looks like they've done a real nice remodel and from what I've heard, have dropped a ton of money into it. It would be great to have another good music room. There used to be a good stage in there, I don't know if they kept it though.

With the recent purchase of a 4x10 cab to go with the bass amp head I got last month, I'm ready to officially say I play bass, not just some schmoe who's fiddling around with it, waiting for the next guitar project to show up. Still like the guitar, but the bass is being picked up and practiced twice as often as my guitars, anymore.
Now I just need some others who are willing to jam with a newbie.
Gary

It's how I got my "free" bass to play and sound better. Had I already gotten a good bass, I wouldn't have risked messing with it.
Thanks for the welcomes, glad to be here.
And duke, I read all the previous pages and was all ready for the GTG up in your neck of the woods, but I'll be in CA that week/end. Maybe next time.

After the PUs were changed I played it through a Hartke 3500/sonic 1x15 at Monument Music(the rig I traded for the squire and a new G&G case for my G&L Frettless) and it sounded better. Then I came home and last night pulged it in to my Genz Benz 6.0/2x12T rig and the thing just came alive. Cory @ Monument Music who installed the PU played it at the store when it was done and said" this has to be one of the best sounding Squires in the state" I thought ok well its still not a G&L. It's still does not sound like my G&Ls, but it sounded better then any P I ever played before! In Short, I'd tell every player who plays a P / J or PJ put in a set of 1/4lb ers. If I every get another that will be the first order of business!

My band (Sandcarvers) update:
We're about 6 weeks into rehearsals with the new lineup, and have re-started booking. Got really lucky - our new drummer is phenominal. Fastest I've ever been able to establish a lock with a drummer. He listens and reacts! About 2.5 hours of material down, 1.5 to go.
First gig is March 2 at McAullife's Pub in Racine, then off to the races in time for St Pat's drinking season. Hopefully we will be able to do a full launch with the new lineup - new website, merch, etc, but time is short. At least it looks like the band will continue, better than before.
