I've got a MXR DI+ I'll bring along. I can also chuck a little Mackie and a set of good headphones in the car, too.

I am considering changing DI boxes - so the more I can hear the better.

I just extended an invite to a couple of bass players I know who don't frequent TB. Don't know if they're interested, but ...

Nice. I'm really interested in the VT bass, the Hartke Bass Attack, the MXR M80, the SansAmp paradriver, etc. Overdrive/EQ/preamp type units that may or may not have a DI. I've owned two sans amp bass drivers in the past and had a love/hate relationship with them.

Also, I kind of want to get this Moog expression pedal off my board. So if anyone has a need for a one...

Bojos is an interesting place. Played it many times. It's real easy to find. Right off I-39/I-29/51. It's in the complex right next to The Store station (which you can see from the freeway right at that exit).

Nice stage in the corner. Great room acoustics. Not terribly large, but not a tiny place either. Just a tip...feel free to move all the tables and chairs out of your way because they use that room as a dining area too. Crowd is usually pretty receptive. Not sure, but I think there are other places in Wausau having Halloween/costume parties going on too so that might affect crowd.

I'll be playing up in Merrill for my Halloween gig, or I'd come out and check out your band. Good luck with your gig!

Dang... I have a gig up north that weekend. It would have been cool to meet other WI bass players and put some faces to the names. I also could have brought my fEARful 15/6.

Maybe next time.

Enjoy guys!

Thanks for the tip Sundogue. Ya , I've heard on the radio that Storm is playing at Coral Lanes. Hopefully most of the other bars in Wausau had their Halloween partys last weekend and Storm won't affect our turn-out too bad. Wausau and it's surrounding communities is fairly well populated for the Northwoods (as you well know) , so I'm thinking their should be enough people to go around. Plus , all of the people who have seen Storm a lot over the past several years might wanna check out the new guys. I'm sure Storm has their "Groupies" though.

My wife bartends at Coral Lanes. They usually have a good crowd for Halloween, but Coral is in Rothschild, and most of the people who go there probably aren't going out to the north end of Wausau where Bojos is anyway and visa versa.

With Halloween being mid week, some bars are doing one weekend and some are doing the other but really it just gives central WI people more excuses to go out and party both weekends (like we need an excuse to drink and party up here...).

Well I brought home some stuff for next saturday's mini-g2g. Grabbed the MB500 and the GK Neo 212-II...but forgot to grab a speaker cable. Maybe I'll run out for one this afternoon. It's been a while since I've had any kind of rig here at home, seems a shame to not be able to turn it on.

Hey, anyone interested in my GK 410 MBX cab? I just put it up on Craig's, but I'd rather let one of y'all have it. Let me know.

I'm happy for you, can't say I'm done.

But the rest of my purchases are apt to be parts except for one PA style power amp. I've got some designs that are about to go into construction.

Boy get busy for a few days..

And your forum group runs off and starts Part Three!

I'm here too. Been working and doing a musical with my HS kids. Swamped is the word! Gigging Nov. 10th at Country Corners in McFarland.

Burying yet another long time band mate and best buddy. Ricky Forkes who most recently had been playing keys for Tim Castle's band. Rick was about the 5th guy I met when I moved to Milwaukee band in '87, when he was working at Uncle Bobs. We shared a serious devotion to all things ELP and Frank Zappa and stayed great friends until his recent demise. Rick had a very bad alcohol addiction, which considering his diabetes, his two open heart surgeries and just generally not taking real good care of himself sent him packing. But I loved him dearly. We worked together briefly in Sequoya in the later 90's, and had always threatened to pull together that ELP tribute act. He grew up wanting to be Keith Emerson,I wanted to be Greg Lake. We would plot for hours on this idea. And as soon as the weed wore off,we'd realize that he and I would be the only ones at an ELP tribute band show. RIP Lil' Ricky!

Wish I could make the GTG, I can't make it further than Green Bay. Is anyone around GB planning on going? Is it still Nov 17 @ the Foundry?

So sorry to hear. At least you have a lot of memories. Best wishes.

Ampeg 410HLF

I've got an Ampeg 410HLF that I don't use much anymore. I'm looking to trade for a 410HE, Portaflex, or others?
I was hoping to keep it local, not sure if it's ok to post here?

PM for more info
