Hey Duke - Did Steve ever call you about those fuses for the lights?? If not you may need to give him a kick start (right in the butt!!).

That is a real treat for me as I get older, and continue to move further North , and my freelance status allows me to pick and choose my gigs.
Nothing much new here. Sold the Sadowsky, which leaves one very nice J bass (my Alleva-Coppolo LM5) and one very nice P Bass (my Nordstrand P5). That pretty much covers my bass needs.
One piece of cool gear that some of you Wisconsin guys might like to hear (anyone is always welcome to pop buy if you pass through Sheboygan!) is a Compact Composite Audiokinesis Thunderchild 115 (made by TBer Mike Arnopol... who is also a KILLER player who lives outside of Chicago). It is an amazing cab, only 34 pounds, made of fiberglass composite material, and kicks like a 215 cab (due to the 4ohm impedance and custom 3015LF driver). Quite amazing sounding! I also picked up a Glockenklang Blue Soul, which will knock down a brick wall and is 11 pounds!
That's the scoop. Happy Holidays! |

How was the Pinback show?
I wasn't feeling well that night and decided not to make the journey to Madison on a Sunday night. I've been kicking myself for it since... |

They were terrible. Oh ya , I just said that to make you feel better about missing the show.
Actually , They were freaking unbelievable!! Rates as my best concert / show ever , and I've seen many (Including Rush (x10) , Iron Maiden (Powerslave and Somewhere in Time tours) , Alice In Chains in the 1st Lallapalozza , Primus , Buckethead , and many more ect...). They sounded exactly like their albums except my personal mix was a little bass heavy since I was right in front of Zach and he was about 5 feet from me and his amp was about 10 feet away from me. I didn't mind at all thou...
Zach and Rob came out after the show to meet and greet. Besides the photos with them I got them and the drummer Chris Prescott to sign my Zach and Rob Show CD. Funny thing is - People didn't know that they'd be coming out after the show and most of the people left right after the show was over. Suckers!!
Here is a bigger Photo of my icon: Pictured left to right (My fiance Melanie , Zach , Rob , and me)
I will definitely go see Pinback or any of Zach's or Rob's band whenever they make it to Wisconsin.

| | Wisconsin Bassist Club Member #1 | | Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Northern Wisconsin | | | Genz Benz Uber 410 cab for sale. I have my Genz Benz Uber 410 for sale in the classifieds. I have it listed at $770.00 due to how much it will cost to ship and insure this cabinet. The cab is like new and has only been gigged less than 20 times. These cabs sell for $1319.00 on Musicians Friend. It is the best cab that I have ever owned and I have owned many. The only reason that I am selling it is due to my back surgery - I need a lighter and more portable rig. I'm thinking of vertically stacking 2 Gallien Krueger Neo 112's. Anyways - sucks to get old!! Stay young as long as possible.
I would give a stellar deal to any Wisconsin Club Members and would drive a couple (3) hours to meet them somewhere. I'd go $625.00 for a Club Member. I'd rather not ship this baby. I might even go a little lower ( $600.00) if my travel time was 1 1/2 hours or less. Let me know if you are interested. The cab also comes with a nice Padded Epifani cover ($80.00 value).
Here is a link to my sale thread: FS - Genz Benz Uber 410 cabinet
Here is a photo of the Uber410:

Thinking of pairing my 212 with either another 212, a 115...or possibly ditching the lot and doing a pair of 112s.

It would also do wonders for my ailing back whick I blew out improperly lifting my Uber cab.
I sure hope that I can sell the Uber instead of being raked over the coals trading it in to a music store. Lord knows I've been bent over enough already trading in gear. If I have to trade the Uber in I may have to change my name to Ben Dover!! I'd rather give someone a killer deal locally on the cab instead of letting a music store make a killing on it! Shoot me some offers - Who knows?? I just may take it. lol

You can put it on Craig's List for weeks and only have one or two disinterested emails. Sometimes you get lucky, though. And if you have it posted here on TB, that may up your odds some. Or maybe ebay, not sure.

The things that were easy to ship were easier to sell. The heavy gear took significant time to sell.
Have you considered a brokerage deal through a dealer in either Chicago or the Twin Cities? In my "if I croak" book I wrote for my family - that's what I outlined for them to do with my bass and gear.

I recommend calling first to make sure what you need is in stock.

Talked quite a bit with the opening band also. They were called 'Solos'. They played all original music except for a cool cover of Micheal Jackson's 'They Don't Care About Us'. When I was talking with Zach he said that he really liked the way they did that song. He came out during their set and watched them for a few songs. That was the first time I talked with him. Then we talked again after the show. I wrote on Zach's Facebook wall that it was nice to meet him. He replied that it was nice to meet me also and that he hoped to see me again. He even said "Nice Pedulla" because my facebook icon is me playing my Pedulla. Pretty cool!!
