Is anybody else intersted in a Manitowoc GTG??

Saturday works better for me, but the March and April time frame is filling up fast between church, gigs and work travel.

If you need work done on your babies check out Monument Music in Manitowoc or Sheboygan
Cory worked on both my G&Ls and traets gear like it was his own. While working on my Frettless a customer came in and asked if he could play it and Cory said no it is not mine, the he asked if he could just hold it and Cory said Sorry ,but no.
I turst him with my gear, and I don't say that very easily cause I'm very anal about my stuff!
How does May look for the GTG
that is All!

Saturday works better for me, but the March and April time frame is filling up fast between church, gigs and work travel. | You should do it on a Friday in June. Then I could get a camp site for the weekend up at Point Beach. That would be awesome.

So the GTG will have to be a Sunday and the space is open the 5th or 12th.
Chime in and let me know which would be better.

I've got gotten a couple positive head turns already.

I'm kinda weird when it comes to pedals. Tried a few. Didn't like them. If I can't get it from my amp - I don't need it. Maybe I just haven't found the 'right' pedal to use , but for the music that I play I really don't need effects.
By the way... Gave my new GK Fusion 550 / GK Neo112-II rig a test run today. Man did it sound sweet. Pretty sure that I finally found the 'Tone' I was after.
Only one complaint thou. When I stack the cabs horizontally they don't sit flat and the top cab rocks a bit. Kinda perplexed by this??

I might have gone with that same compressor. It was a tie between it and the MXR and I went the other way. I just adore the mxr envelope filter. I only gave it up because I wanted the synergies between the SA envelope filter and their multiwave distortion. Really nice board, though.
Pedulla: I'm glad to hear the GK rig is working for you! I just knew it would. That head...those cabs. Everyone seems to love those cabs.

Its kinda cool to be able to set two different settings on the Fusion 550 and have the knobs manually (mechanically) switch between the two settings/channels (via foot-switch).
I found my tone with minimal tweaking. I'm just unsure about what they have been saying in the GK thread about running the master volume at max. Not sure if that is just the RB heads or all GK heads??

But it also has a "GIVE" channel with a "boost" preamp and it's own master volume. If I go to that channel and dime the boost...whoa. Upper harmonic content all over the place.
But you're 550 Fusion is likely somewhat different.

One channel is set to be used with the Hot Hand and the other without. If they offered the envelope filter in the SB2 format I would have jumped on it as that seems really cool. I'm VERY happy with the MXR though. It does all the traditional envelope stuff just how I want but the SA would have been wild, especially with the Hot Hand.
I haven't been much of an effects guy on gigs, just dorkin' around in the shed. However, we've added enough tunes that some synth bass line stuff can help that it seemed worth the extra bit. It makes it a little more interesting after playing stuff for the gazillionth time too. Just taking a dance tune up an octave and then dropping it down with the pedal adds some depth that wasn't there. It's fun experimenting a bit. However, I'm a take it or leave it guy with effects and will always lean towards leave it if it doesn't truly offer something worthwhile.

Maybe someday I'll try out another one , but I've gotten by without them for so long and the few that I have tried I was disappointed in. Some guys are just pedal junkies - it makes me wonder if they are trying to cover up something? lol
Ok - Here is a question for you pedal users. If you could only own one pedal - Which kind would it be? Brand and effect type.
Just curious?

Just curious? | I hear ya, I went down the pedal path awhile and to be honest ,I like them, I just really hate hauling and hooking anything up for just bar gigs where 90% of the folks won't notice if I have it on or not. I have a full board that just sits at home.
I bet OD or Compression will be the biggest in most needed for one pedal. My board has VT, Thumpinator, Chorus, RC booster, EBS Multicomp. I would likely take these to record with I guess.
