Looks similar to his dad's Frankenstrat.
Fender body with maple neck and single humbucker
pickup. 1 volume knob.
(might be a photoshop job)

His high harmonies were a big part of the signature VH tone. Perhaps Wolfie could hit the high harmonies if we offer him a few extra snacks? Oh, I could get a warning for that one........ |

Maybe she can get the boy to be the rock 'n roll spokesman for nutri-system. Seriously... If Wolfgang was'nt any good, his old man would'nt have him in the band or take him out on the road. I'm curious to hear his playing & his impact on the chemistry of VH. I'm more concerned about "Diamond Dave's" 'tude impacting the the band. Doe's he still suffer from LSD (Lead Singer's Disease)? |

He did let the other guys speak, which is new. He seemed to be more "in the moment" than he has been in the past. Sometimes he's clearly off in a distant land. Dunno if he's off whatever his self prescribed meds may or may not have been, or if he's gotten some "help" seeing this as a team effort, but I was impressed with how "we" he was, as opposed to "ME" as he's been in the past. Of course, I think nobody on earth has wanted this reunion more than Dave, so maybe he's trying not to screw it up like he did last time. |

Doe's he still suffer from LSD (Lead Singer's Disease)? | He may be alright, but some of the really odd stories in and out of rehab make me question overall sanity of EVH. The main reason Mad Mike was kicked out was for jamming with Hagar for all the years this tour didn't happen. I'm sure he would have willingly played the DLR shows if asked.
Besides, who the hell sells 25k signature models based on the old stuff, which were parts guitars? |

Besides, who the hell sells 25k signature models based on the old stuff, which were parts guitars? | Eddie does. Looks like people are buying them, too. Eddie actually stripes them himself, and I guess his hourly striping rate is pretty high. |

Gary Cherrone was a total dick when he was on the Howard Stern show, refusing to sing and being combative with Howard. He came across as a big jerkoff instead of the luckiest guy in rock and roll, and I think it caused the record company to pull their support.
But if you don't buy the Stern appearance killing VH III, then look at it this way...with Roth and Hagar, every single one of their albums were multi-platinum. With Cherrone, nothing. So yeah, I totally blame him for killing VH III. |

that was the big reason VH III flopped

Perhaps we can blame it on Mike for not using a Fender..........
I found the album to be pretty bland with songwriting and playing in everyone's department. People want catchy riffs and fun solos. I don't see how Gary could ruin this. |

The music was the best thing about it. I'm telling you, it's all Cherrone. He's about a no-personality jerkoff who takes himself way too seriously, and you can't have that in Van Halen. Of course, we can argue this until the cows come home, but in my mind, Gary Cherrone was entirely responsible for that album's failure. |
