Michael Anthony's shoes weren't too hard to fill; even for a 15 year old...

But seriously folks...

I haven't really heard what he can do. Who knows what backing tracks VH was using on the last tour (they had that major mess up where the tracks even skipped at a show)?

Plus, if they release an album, will it be him playing or Eddie (as it was even when Michael Anthony was in the band).

The only way to tell will be if he joins another band.

I know they used keyboard tracks for Jump, but did they
actually use tracks on other tunes. Did they use any vocal tracks?

Hes a good bassist. nothing to unique, gets the job done. Im very disappointed in eddie for booting anthony. Last time I checked Van halen did Just fine with him eddie just wanted van halen as a family band.

I wish my dad was in a band like VH and he asked me to play with them!

Has to be a thrill of a lifetime for the kid! He'll come into his own in due time.

They Should have kept Michael....

Since Wolfgang can play guitar, they should have added him as a rhythm guitarist and kept Michael as the bassist and background singer, then Eddie could play lead and do more keyboard tunes....Just a thought.

George

Wolfgang was better than I thought he'd be when I saw them live. I was kind of impressed actually.

So does Wolfgang use fingers or pick?

I read a drum magazine interview with Alex VH where he implied that Wolfgang has a better groove as a bassist than Michael Anthony. I find that hard to believe and think it's more a case of blood being thicker than water.

yeah, that's all well and good... but think of whose blood is flowing in this kid's veins! i am sure he had to have inherited something from the old man.

I seen VH live and it kind of looked like Wolfgang was holding back alittle. I was alittle disapointed that they didn't give him a solo. He seems more than talented enough ( He is the son of EDdie VAn halen of corse)

That poor kid is gonna have a really hard time to gain creditibility thanks to his father.

He should have started his own band IMO.
