Ahhhhhhh---so excited--I just got 2 tickets to Victor Wooten in Ashland, Oregon (only 12 miles from my house) on April 30th!!!!!!!!!! So excited I had to share it with y'all. Holy s--! Its a small venue so will be pretty "personal" in that aspect instead of 10K people screaming. Can't --repeat can't--wait!!!

You are in for a treat my friend!

Victor, besides being a phenominal world class bassist, is a genuinely wonderful person.

I've seen him twice and he comes across as very genuine onstage and off. An entertainer too, so get ready for a lesson in why you need decent straplocks . . . .

I saw Vic at the Opera house in Toronto. A venue with under 100 people there.
It was AWESOME
Very interactive with the audience as well. Here's a story!

I was about 5-10 feet from the stage (Ask me for pics you don't believe) And Vic was telling us a story about how he gave away a Fodera Yin-Yang at the B.N.C (bass nature camp) and the woman he gave it to was at the concert.
So after he introduced her in the audience, and we all finished clapping he said something like,

"So Now, I give away Foderas"

And I yelled out,

"Can I have one?!"

And he quickly responded saying,

"Well, ya gotta come to the camp, brother!"

so...I think I'm going to show up at the camp and tell him he owes me a Fodera

He's a very cool guy. I've been chatting with Anthony Wellington a bit, who is also a very cool guy.
You're up for one hell of a show!!!

I may be taking a few days off to go down south to this as well. It looks like the venue is quite small and the experience should not be missed.

http://www.victorwooten.com/ Click on VixTours. You have to check the Flecktones site (http://www.flecktones.com/site.php?content=tour) for those dates though.

Everytime I see Vic I am transfixed by watching his hands. I've been fortunate enough to be close enough to the stage each time and I stare in awe. So so good.

It looks like he will be coming to the Aladdin too. But if you go to the Aladdin Theater listing it doesn't say anything about it.

Just one of the most generous guy you'll ever see on stage. I've seen him 3 times live, 1 time at a clinic, and i have spent a soundcheck with his band, they are all awesome musicians and persons.

You'll have a great time. Oh and prepare to be shocked, and motivated and/or depressed like never before, especially if you're seeing him for the first time.

I saw Vic with the Flecktones in Denver the day before they won the Grammy. What a treat it was to watch such disgustingly talented musicians showing off! There were no catchy melodies that most folks would sing along with. Just disgustingly talented musicians showing off! How sweet it was!

Have to agree . .it is disgusting.
Flecks are in Oz for Easter but sold out before Xmas so I'll miss 'em this trip. If you're a bassist you have to see 'em at least once, don't you?
