It should be ponted out that, within the context of it being incredibly silly that these old dinosaurs charge so much for their shows (and not because I don't believe in a free-market economy. I mean, there's really only one Beatle left in the world to see, so who's to say what his market value is- especially as he is selling butt-load of tickets. I mean, he's rather in a league of his own, so it's up to him to decide what he's worth.), he's relatively cool in that there are $50 tickets available for all his shows as well. $250 is if you feel the need to get closer to him. I saw him for $50 and he was flippin' great. He's also playing with a drummer that I've played with, so it was a special 6 degrees of Macca thing as well.

The thing that bums me out so much about those high ticket prices is that it just about guarantees that the audience is going to be filled by a bunch of yuppie scumbags chatting on their cell phones through the whole show. I can't bring myself to go see a band like the Who play for a bunch of SUV driving fat cats. Those ticket prices guarantee that the absolute antithisis of rock & roll is going to be packing the front rows.

No, I mean sure he's a legend, but he's not that good anymore. I might try to see Primus on a reunion tour for $250, but that's because I'm insanely in love with Primus and have never seen them live... but not Sir Paul...

You're trying to make my eyes roll all the way around in my skull, aren't you? Ahh, man, $250 would be cheap to hear Primus do all those classic tunes that have changed the world like "bass wank #156" , "For 15 Year old boys only", "Complete lack of song" and my personal favorite "The Guitar Player doesn't matter"
