Yes Minister & Yes Prime Minister Theme - Who Played Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Odd question but I was enjoying the show last night on DVD and have always loved the theme (and the tone). I figured someone here might know ... just for curiousities sake.

The theme was written by Ronnie Hazlehurst and was a BBC show so suspect that it was a 'house' player.

Any ideas ...

I *think* Ronnie Hazlehurst did Only Fools and Horses too, and, again I *think* that the bassist for that was Mo Foster...

But I'm probably wrong.

Mo Foster certainly did Minder.

Yes Minister/Prime Minister and Only Fools and Horses both had brilliant theme songs, and the bass is quality - I've searched for a place where I can get proper copies.

Oh and I don't think Hazlehurst did Only Fools and Horses, it was John Sullivan. You can download the closing theme here - http://www.televisiontunes.com/Only_..._-_Ending.html
