Just check out the intro as well as the part after 2:55 . Very well executed tapping technique and nice slap melody. Dedicated for those who thinks other than pick and finger-style is not good for punk/rock

From Wiki:

Kurban is a Turkish rock band.
And appereantly they do groove and the bassist has a vintage "lefty" 70s jazz, which I have never seen until today.

Why? Because the singer doesn't sing in English?

The band grooves pretty hard, but I couldn't see myself owning an album by them.

Sounds good, but not sure I call it Punk, more metal to my ears.

It feels weird at first, kinda like acquired taste. Armony/Melody structure is so different, I can understand how it sounds unorthodox.

My understanding of metal is not as humpy/dumpy/jumpy as this one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS6nO...eature=related He's playing the intro with a pick. So does that mean that pick is the best ever again??? lol

I can't see the reasoning here He seems to play it with a pick, but my ears tells otherwise about the original recording. he also plays the rest of the song with a pick, which he slaps at the original recording. Also see what he does after 3:28 on that video.

Now that I think about it, why do I care

For me, it has nothing to do with the Armony/Melody structure... it just sounds really... immature to me? I don't know, I could see them opening up for Disturbed or something, and that's not something I can get behind.
