Yngwie's bassists

This is not to disgrace Yngwie's bassists; they must possess incredible techniques to play with Yngwie.

Anyway, whenever I watch Yngwie's live performance, I can't help thinking, "It must be an aweful gig as a bass player."

The bass player has to play 32nd note after 32nd note at bpm=220 for 2 hours and neither Yngwie nor the audience gives a damn to the bassist. I've yet to see any of Yngwie's bassists smiling at a concert.

I am a huge Malmsteen fan and a bass player. However, when I go to a Malmsteen concert, I want to see Malmsteen play; although I will glance at the bass player.

I would love to see Malmsteen play with some monster bass players - like Dave LaRue or Billy Sheehan.

At least he gets to play challenging music. I can think of worse gigs where you might have to play slow-pop or country and only get one or two notes every other measure.

And the audience won't give a damn about the bass player there either.
