Now that's the way it's done! I wonder if there is some overdrive in there or if that is just the mic on the camera getting over worked?

Great performance, but what is with that tone? It sounds so thin with no cajones. Maybe it's just the way it recorded? Anyway, that fella can play!

Yep, there's players like Abe and then there's the mere mortals like me!

Did he use to play with Hillsong? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else?

I usually won't sit through 13 minutes of anything on YouTube, but this - he's like a one-man band on bass!

I had to shut it off- I gotta gig in a few, and don't wanna walk in wanting to put my hands in a blender.
KIDDING(sort of). Abe is insane- too bad he doesn't get into it at all.

I've seen him w/ Koinania like 20x's. He is simple amazing. What else is amazing is he (or Berry Oakley) are usually not on people's YouTube top 10 basses, but Gene Simmons is?

Look at the lady on the right at about 8.49. She wants to jump his bones. Hard.

I see what you mean! That was pretty funny!

Abe Laboriel is a great performer, he just happens to play an excellent bass guitar.

The technique at 10:10 is something I've never heard anyone else do.

I posted a thread a while back about players so good they make you want to give up.....this guy is at the top of my list. If they locked me in a room with a bass for 50 years and I lived that long....no way. When Abe was born God touched him and said 'bass'.
