Great clip. Hadn't seen that one before. One of my all time favourite bassists and bands.

One of the best shows they ever did. Check the other tunes from phoenix 97, they're all great!

That is a great clip. Zender is great and super talented. I still prefer Bernard Edwards since I feel that Zender largely channeled him, but if Woodchuck takes him as an inspiration, who am I to argue?

Pretty good, slapping sometimes fits a song really well. Cool fingerstyle stuff later in the clip too.

Stu Zender is amazing. He's one of my all-time favorite bass players and I hope he finally gets the recognition he deserves one day. He has funk in his soul! I hear he's always very humble and cool to his fans too.

He totally brings the funk in this Mark Ronson clip:

that clip of Stu with Lilly Allen pretty much embodies my dream band. Kickin' drummer and perc'ist, 3 piece horn, gtr, funky keys and IMHO i don't think a smokin hot singer would hurt too much either.

I think it is funny seeing Paul Turner with his MM's or his Alleva's as opposed to Mr. Zender's SSII's. Either way it is just plain stanky funk!
