Fieldy? ... ok
Anywho, Justin from Tool, Ryan from Mudbayne (very cliche so far), KB from Nonpoint... I cant think of heaps more, i've been listening to less and less metal.
I wouldnt count them as metal, but Billy Gould from faith no more is great, plus he plays bass in Brujeria, which is definatley metal, cant say i like 'em though...

Due to extensive lack of metal listening I'm going to go with Duff from Guns 'n Roses here.

This is so easy:

Metal:

Steve Harris

Geezer Butler

Rock:

Geddy Lee

I used to be a fan of Manowar and Joey DeMaio. But that was before I started playing the bass. Now I just keep asking myself "What's the point?"(e.g. piccolo bass).
