I'm curious how many of the prominent bassists that perform under a pseudonym came about their names.
*What is the reason that Michael Balzary is called Flea?
*How Did Gordon Sumner come up with Sting?
*etc....
I would like to hear from TB'ers about the various bassists that are in popular (and not-so-popular) music today regarding the pseudonyms they play under and how they got their new nick-name. |

Flea?
...the size of his 'noggin'?

Geddy is the yiddish accented pronunciation of Gary, and it's what his mother or grandmother (I can't remember which) called him growing up. |
