There was one cover he did, however, of Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke" that really blew me away. At the time of the video he had been playing for about a year and 2 months, so here it is:

He has some serious improv chops, particularly for his age and playing time, no?
I have seen him on YT a few times, he was born to play the bass.RTS

Since this has been necromanced I'll add I enjoy this guy as well and am kind of discouraged that he's only played for a year and a half (at the time of the vids). I'm going on three and I'm nowhere near there. I feel bad now

I saw this guy originally when I was looking up some vids on "You oughta know" He does a great version, very funky.

He's been playing one of those Flea basses now...

He could definitely stand in for the RHCP if Flea was ever injured, sick, etc. He is absolutely sick with the older stuff.

Don't feel bad. I've played bass for 25 years including a year at Berklee and I think this kid is incredible. He has an incredible feel for music and a great ear. Lots of fun to listen to.

The kid's really good.

But for all we know, he was coached on those lines.

Nothing wrong with that, but something to keep in mind.
